The Facts is a directional twin on a BTX hybrid contour, which Mervin builds to be catch-free through turn initiation while still carving and floating. The wide 156cm platform gives a larger boot the leverage to set an edge without the toe or heel dragging in the snow.
A balanced flex rating of 4 is the reason this board works across a wide weight range instead of a narrow one – it is soft enough to press and stiff enough to hold. The sintered base is fast and low maintenance, absorbing wax well enough that it keeps speed on every snow type rather than only cold dry days.
Mervin Manufacturing builds Lib Tech and GNU boards in Sequim, Washington, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and is one of the last snowboard makers that never moved production offshore. The factory runs on a zero-hazardous-waste process the company has built its identity around.
