The Libstick 98 is Lib Tech’s women’s all-mountain ski, and the 98 is the waist width in millimetres measured underfoot. Waist width is the number that decides how a ski divides its time between hardpack and soft snow.
At 98mm the ski sits deliberately in the middle – wide enough to stay up in fresh snow, narrow enough to still put an edge into a firm groomer without feeling like it is rolling over. That is the width most people want if they own one pair of skis rather than three.
