This is a boxed Rada set in pack of 2, black resin handles. Every blade is T420 high-carbon stainless, hollow-ground so the edge stays thin behind the bevel rather than wedging through what you are cutting, and the handles are moulded black resin that goes through the dishwasher without hazing.
At the table on cooked meat, where a serrated edge keeps cutting without being re-sharpened between meals. Buying it boxed also makes it the set people hand on at a wedding or a housewarming.
Rada Mfg. Co. has been making cutlery in Waverly, Iowa since 1948, and grinds and assembles every blade at that plant.
