The Occidental Leather 9550 is a framer tool belt with 21 pockets and tool holders, weighing 5.1 pounds. It adjusts to fit pant waists from 32 to 41 inches and is constructed of rugged commercial nylon with high-density neoprene padding across wide hip pads.
The adjustable belt lets a carpenter keep one rig across seasons and clothing changes instead of sizing up for winter layers. D-rings are pre-installed at the back for connecting a suspension system. The bag layout is hand-specific — the 5060 fastener bag on the dominant side and the 5017DB tool bag on the opposite side — so nails and tools sit where the carpenter reaches for them. The High Mount Hammer Holder (5059) is removable and sits on the rear.
This rig is aimed at framing and rough carpentry: nails, nail sets, pencils, measuring tape, speed square, utility knife, hammer, and assorted hand tools. The wide hip padding and neoprene take the load off the lower back over a full day on the wall.
Occidental Leather has manufactured tool belts in Sebastopol, California since 1980, and the 9550 is listed as USA made.
