The Channellock 336 is a 6-inch diagonal cutting plier forged from high-carbon C1080 steel and coated for rust resistance. It uses Channellock’s Xtreme Leverage Technology (XLT) geometry and a knife-and-anvil style cutting edge, and it is made in the USA.
XLT shifts the geometry so the plier cuts with less hand pressure than a conventional diagonal, which reduces fatigue over repeated cuts. The knife-and-anvil edge mates a sharp knife against a flat anvil so the cut meets cleanly every time instead of shearing past itself, which extends edge life. C1080 high-carbon steel takes and holds the induction-hardened edge.
The slim 6-inch profile lets the plier work inside boxes, fixtures, and compact spaces during electrical rough-in and DIY repair — stripping and trimming leads close to terminals, snipping zip ties, and trimming small fasteners.
