The Klein D2000-9NE is a 9-inch heavy-duty lineman’s plier from Klein’s 2000 series. It has precision-machined induction-hardened knives, a hot-riveted joint, cross-hatched knurled jaws, and a streamlined head.
The 2000-series blades are cut to shear ACSR (aluminum conductor steel reinforced) cable, screws, nails, and most hardened wire — a step beyond a standard plier’s wire-only rating. The high-leverage design places the rivet closer to the cutting edge for 46% greater cutting and gripping power. Precision-machined knives shear fine stranded wire, mule tape, and pull line cleanly without fraying the strands.
Cross-hatched knurled jaws hold conductors and hardware firmly during pulls, twists, and bends — everyday lineman and electrical installation work, overhead and in the hand-hole.
Forged in the USA from U.S.-made tool steel.
