The Channellock 317 is an 8-inch long-nose plier with a built-in side cutter, forged from high-carbon C1080 steel and finished with an electronic coating for rust resistance.
The crosshatch jaw pattern grips irregular shapes firmly — fasteners, terminals, and small hardware — without slipping. The knife-and-anvil cutting edge mates a sharp knife against a flat anvil for a clean, consistent shear, and laser heat-treated edges hold up to repeated cuts on wire and small nails. The electronic coating resists the rust that builds up on a plier stored in a damp toolbox.
Common work includes reaching into tight electrical boxes, grabbing and looping wire, pulling staples, and trimming small fasteners flush.
Forged in Meadville, Pennsylvania with comfort grips on the handles.
