Buck Knives has built the American folding-knife standard since 1902 — knives that sharpen to a working edge, lock solid when open, and don’t break the budget. The 840 Sprint Select is Buck’s assisted-opening EDC — 2.875-inch 420HC drop-point blade, flipper and thumb stud, and a liner lock behind a textured glass-filled nylon handle. The assisted mechanism kicks the blade open fast without needing a thumb push the whole travel, and the blade size and shape make it a solid daily-carry work knife.
Buck Knives manufactures its folding knives at its factory in Post Falls, Idaho. The company runs its own heat-treatment line — the 420HC ‘Paul Bos’ heat treat is a Buck trademark that outperforms the same steel in most other production knives — and carries a Forever Warranty against defects on every blade it makes.
