Maglite flashlights are machined from solid aluminum at the company’s plant in Ontario, California, where they’ve been made continuously since 1974. Every light features a knurled aluminum body, O-ring-sealed construction, and a focusable beam that adjusts from flood to spot with a twist of the head. The line runs from compact AAA pocket lights up to full-size D-cell flashlights used by law enforcement, first responders, and homeowners.
The Mini PRO is a compact 2-cell AA flashlight that puts 272 lumens of focusable LED light into a pocket, glove box, or tool bag. It comes with a belt holster, ships with two alkaline batteries, and uses the same knurled aluminum body as the full-size Maglites — scaled down for daily carry. The tail-cap switch runs through multiple output modes, and the beam adjusts from flood to spotlight with a twist of the head.
Mag Instrument, Inc. was founded by Anthony Maglica, a machinist who started the company in a small shop in Ontario, California in 1955 and introduced the original Maglite flashlight in 1979. Every component of every Maglite is still manufactured and assembled at that same California facility — Maglica has turned down decades of pressure to move production overseas. The brand is one of a shrinking number of consumer products still made entirely in the United States.
