Beeswax-base formula with natural oils that work into the leather instead of sitting on top. Rub on with fingers (warm wax with a hair dryer first if it’s stiff), let it absorb overnight, buff off the excess in the morning. The leather darkens slightly with the first application and develops a soft sheen that’s the opposite of plastic-feeling synthetic sealants.
Use this on Red Wing Heritage, Wesco, Iron Ranger, Allen Edmonds, Justin work boots, or any oil-tanned or chrome-tanned leather that needs to handle wet weather without absorbing it. Conditions while it waterproofs, so the leather stays supple instead of cracking after years of weather exposure.
Otter Wax hand-pours its products in Portland, Oregon, with the same beeswax-and-natural-oil formula they’ve used since the company started in 2010.
