Drop-forged from high-carbon C1080 American steel, with knurled jaws and Channellock’s signature laser-heat-treated cutting edge. The 12-inch handle gives mechanical advantage on stubborn fittings; the tongue-and-groove channel system locks at any of seven jaw widths up to 2 inches. Phosphate finish resists rust under typical workshop conditions.
The plumber’s go-to. Used for 2-inch PVC, oil-filter housings, drain traps, gas-line nuts, and any fitting that needs more leverage than smaller pliers can deliver. Pairs with the Channellock 420 9.5-inch for tighter spaces and the 460 16-inch for heavy mechanical work.
Channellock has been forging pliers in Meadville, Pennsylvania since 1886.
