These maple syrup filter sheets are the finishing-stage filter material for home maple sugaring operations. Each sheet is 24 inches by 30 inches — large enough to cut down to whatever size your funnel or filter rig needs, and to filter multiple batches before discarding. The pack of 2 provides redundancy for a full season’s filtering work, plus one held in reserve for the next year.
The sheets are sized to fit standard sugaring funnels (including Lehman’s stainless funnel with screen) and remove the fine ‘sugar sand’ (mineral precipitate) and tree-bark debris that naturally accumulate during the boil-down process. Filter the syrup while still hot — the syrup flows through the filter much more readily at high temperature than when cooled. Cool, bottle, label, and the syrup is shelf-stable.
Use as needed and discard — these are single-use sheets, not washable filters (the trapped sugar sand can’t be cleaned out cleanly enough for reuse). For maple sugaring households running 3 or more taps per season, this is the right filter supply. Lehman’s catalog selection.
