The John Boos RA-Board Series 24″ x 18″ cutting board is edge-grain Northern hard maple at 2.25″ thickness, 30 pounds, with recessed finger grips at both ends. The size puts it firmly into commercial-prep territory — wide enough for whole sheet-pan rollouts, large carving roasts, and bread-and-pastry work.
It anchors a kitchen island or commercial work table without sliding around. The 2.25″ thickness lets it absorb knife impact through serious daily knife work and resists warping over time when properly oiled.
John Boos has produced solid-maple cutting boards and butcher blocks in Effingham, Illinois since 1887. The RA-Board is among the brand’s most popular formats for serious home cooks and small restaurant kitchens.
