The Otis Ripcord is a one-pass bore cleaning tool — a rugged braided cord pulled through the bore from breech to muzzle in one motion, replacing the multiple-patch routine that takes ten minutes for a pistol bore. The cord traps fouling and pulls it out with the cord rather than smearing it down the bore.
Sized for 9mm, .38, and .357 caliber pistols — the most common defensive and target pistol calibers in the US. The Ripcord rolls up small enough to live in a range bag or glovebox, and it cleans the bore between range sessions without dragging out a full cleaning kit.
Otis Technology has been making gun cleaning systems in Lyons Falls, New York since 1985. Every Otis kit is hand-assembled in their Adirondack-foothills facility, using the same Memory-Flex cable design that’s been the standard for US military firearm maintenance for decades. Made in the USA.
