The Jumbo Joe splits the difference between the tiny Smokey Joe and a full-size kettle. Eighteen inches of cooking grate is enough for a family dinner, roughly six or seven burgers at a time, and the grill still packs into a car trunk without a fight.
The Tuck-N-Carry lid lock holds the lid tight against the bowl so nothing rattles loose in transit, and swings into a lid holder once you are set up. Adjustable dampers on the lid and bowl let you run it hot for searing or choke it down for indirect cooking.
Bowl and lid are porcelain-enameled steel with a plated steel cooking grate. Weber manufactures its charcoal grills in the United States.
