A surface-mounted heater hangs below the ceiling and announces itself. A flush mount frame recesses the same fixture into the ceiling or soffit so it sits level with the surface, which is how you get overhead heat in a finished outdoor room without it looking like equipment was bolted on afterward.
This frame accepts an Infratech electric heater with a 61.25-inch fixture length. It goes into the framing during construction or into an existing soffit, and the heater drops straight into it.
Infratech manufactures the frames alongside the heaters at its plant in Gardena, California, so the tolerances actually match.
