The Estwing E3-16C is a 16-ounce curved claw hammer forged from a single piece of solid American steel and fully polished for a clean jobsite finish. The curved claw grips nail heads at a steeper angle than a straight rip claw, which gives added torque for pulling nails without chewing up the surrounding wood or trim.
It’s sized for general carpentry, cabinet and trim work, light framing, and any household task where a 20- or 22-ounce framing hammer is more than the job needs. The patented Shock Reduction Grip is bonded to the steel shank and cuts impact vibration by around 70%, and the forged-in-one-piece build removes the head-to-handle joint that loosens on wood-handled hammers over time.
Estwing has been forging hand tools in Rockford, Illinois since 1923 using only American steel. Every forged-in-one-piece Estwing tool is made in the USA and carries the brand’s reputation as the longest-running American striking-tool manufacturer.
