The Betsy Ross pattern — thirteen stars in a ring on a blue canton — at 3 by 5 feet. It is the 1777 design, flown as a historical flag rather than as a substitute for the current fifty-star flag.
Because it is a historical pattern it tends to go up for a specific occasion: Independence Day, a re-enactment, a museum or civic display. The ring layout is what people recognise, so the star spacing matters more here than on a modern flag.
