This is the Klein J2000-48 — an 8-inch angled head diagonal cutting pliers designed for flush cutting: cutting wire, zip ties, or small brads right at the surface without leaving a stub. The angled head lets the knife edge sit against the work surface while the handles stay at a comfortable angle away from the obstruction. Induction-hardened cutting knives keep a clean edge.
It’s sized for electricians trimming wire flush in boxes, makers and model builders trimming zip ties in assemblies, and anyone cutting close where a straight-head cutter won’t fit. The Journeyman cushion grip reduces hand fatigue on high-volume cutting days. The forged head is the same USA-made body Klein uses across the J2000 and D2000 standard lines.
Klein Tools has been making hand tools for electricians and tradespeople since 1857, headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The Journeyman and Standard pliers lines — along with many of Klein’s cushion-grip screwdrivers — are forged and finished in the United States, and clearly marked as such, so you know exactly what you’re buying.
