Annin Flagmakers is the oldest and largest American flag manufacturer in the United States, sewing flags since 1847. Every flag is cut, sewn, and finished at Annin’s plants in Roseland, New Jersey and South Boston, Virginia, using American-made fabric and fittings. The company has supplied flags to every presidential administration since Zachary Taylor and draped the coffins of Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The SolarGuard Nyl-Glo is Annin’s UV-protected nylon flag built to keep red and blue colors bright against constant sun exposure. The lightweight nylon flies readily in low wind while the SolarGuard treatment slows the fade that destroys most outdoor flags after a summer in direct light. Sewn stripes, embroidered stars, and brass grommets in a reinforced header, sized 3 by 5 feet.
Annin Flagmakers was founded in 1847 in New York City and is now run by the sixth generation of the Annin family, with primary flag production in South Boston, Virginia and Roseland, New Jersey. Annin is FMAA-certified, which guarantees every thread, fabric, grommet, and header is produced or manufactured in the United States. The company supplies flags for government installations, military bases, schools, and homes across the country.
