The AprilAire 213CBN adds activated carbon to the standard MERV 13 213 filter — same allergen, pollen, mold, and bacteria capture as the standard 213 plus carbon-based adsorption of VOCs, cooking odors, pet odors, and smoke residue. The carbon layer addresses odor problems that filtration alone can’t fix.
Fits AprilAire 1210, 2210, 2216, 3210, and 4200 chassis. Annual replacement recommended for carbon performance (carbon saturates faster than mechanical filtration).
