A yoga duffel built the way BaileyWorks builds its messenger bags – cut and sewn to order rather than pulled off a shelf. The shape is long and low so a rolled mat lies flat down the length of the bag instead of being strapped to the outside, with room alongside for a change of clothes and a bottle.
It carries as a duffel or over the shoulder, which is the part that matters on the walk between a car and a studio door. Because these are made to order the wait runs to weeks rather than days, and the trade for that is a bag cut by the person who sewed it.
BaileyWorks has been making bags by hand in New Hampshire since 1994, working mainly in heavy cordura and webbing, and states that every one of its bags is hand made in the USA.
