Miniatures live or die on whether the casting holds detail at a small scale. Pewter does — the ears, tails and posture read clearly at an inch or so tall, where a moulded resin figure would go soft.
A set of three gives you a grouping rather than a single ornament, which suits a windowsill, a bookshelf edge or a desk.
