The 6 by 3 sits between Dexter’s small and large griddle turners, and the proportions are the point. Six inches of length gets the blade to the back of a deep griddle; three inches of width keeps it slim enough to work between closely spaced items.
It is the shape most short-order cooks end up preferring, because it does most of what the wide turners do while still fitting into gaps. The Cool Blue handle means it can be left resting on the rail between orders.
Dexter-Russell has made cutlery in Southbridge, Massachusetts since 1818 and is the oldest cutlery manufacturer in the United States. Cool Blue is its high-heat handle material — rated to stay usable at grill and fryer temperatures that soften ordinary polypropylene.
