A 8-inch replacement sanding pad from Diskit’s Pro Series line, made to replace the worn backing pad on a sander rather than the whole tool. Takes sanding discs. 5/8″-11 Female spindle.
The backing pad is the part of a sander that actually decides how the abrasive sits against the work. When the foam packs down or the face tears, the disc stops tracking flat and starts leaving swirl. Swapping the pad restores the flat, even contact the tool had when it was new, at a fraction of the cost of replacing the sander.
