This is Fiesta’s Coupe Dinner Bowl Plate in Scarlet — a 10.375-inch wide piece with a 40-ounce capacity, in Fiesta’s classic fire-engine red glaze. The shape is coupe (rimless) with a deeper well than a standard dinner plate, which makes it right for saucy dishes, pasta, ramen, stews, or anything that needs containment without going into a true bowl.
It works as the main plate for pasta night, a rice bowl, or a dinner plate when the food has liquid that would run off a flat plate. The 10.375-inch diameter and 40-ounce volume means it holds a full adult portion — no hand-off to a second dish. Scarlet is Fiesta’s most recognizable color and has been in continuous production since the original 1936 launch. Dishwasher, microwave, and oven-safe to 500°F.
Fiesta has been making this dinnerware at its factory in Newell, West Virginia since 1936 — one of the longest-running domestic pottery operations in the country. Every piece is cast, fired, and glazed at that Newell plant, which is why the colors stay consistent from one collection to the next.
