This is the Glass Eye Studio Paperweight Egg Pearl Passion Flower, Blue paperweight, a heavy dome of hand-blown glass with layers of color and pattern captured inside. Because each is gathered, shaped, and colored by hand, the swirl of color and the way it catches light are unique to the piece.
It anchors papers on a desk, but it mostly earns its place as a small sculpture that glows when it catches light on a shelf, windowsill, or side table. The weight and clarity give it real presence in the hand.
Glass Eye Studio has been hand-blowing art glass in Seattle, Washington since 1975, known for its recycled-glass ornaments and pieces made with Mount St. Helens volcanic ash.
