This is the K’NEX Education – STEM Explorations: Roller Coaster Set, a K’NEX thrill-ride building set that assembles into a working roller coaster with track, supports, and cars — and on motorized sets, a chain lift that carries the car to the top for the drop.
Building it is a hands-on engineering project that teaches structure, motion, and problem-solving, and the finished coaster actually runs. K’NEX’s rod-and-connector system snaps together firmly and comes apart to build again.
K’NEX has made its interlocking rod-and-connector building system in Hatfield, Pennsylvania since 1992, molding the classic parts in the USA for open-ended, buildable STEM play.
