Maglite flashlights are machined from solid aluminum at the company’s plant in Ontario, California, where they’ve been made continuously since 1974. Every light features a knurled aluminum body, O-ring-sealed construction, and a focusable beam that adjusts from flood to spot with a twist of the head. The line runs from compact AAA pocket lights up to full-size D-cell flashlights used by law enforcement, first responders, and homeowners.
The ML300L is Maglite’s full-size 4-cell D flashlight — long enough to double as an impact tool, bright enough to light up a yard, a job site, or a storm-darkened hallway. The tail-switch LED puts out over 600 lumens at peak with multiple output modes and a runtime measured in days on low. The aluminum body survives drops, weather, and rough handling, and the beam focuses from flood to tight spot with a twist of the head.
Mag Instrument, Inc. was founded by Anthony Maglica, a machinist who started the company in a small shop in Ontario, California in 1955 and introduced the original Maglite flashlight in 1979. Every component of every Maglite is still manufactured and assembled at that same California facility — Maglica has turned down decades of pressure to move production overseas. The brand is one of a shrinking number of consumer products still made entirely in the United States.
