The Wigwam Merino Comfort Hiker uses a 62% merino wool knit with added polyester and spandex for stretch and fast drying. Merino is the standard fiber for hiking socks because it wicks sweat, holds warmth when damp, and naturally resists odor across multi-day trips — and Wigwam’s knit places cushion underfoot where it absorbs impact without filling up a boot.
The black colorway hides trail dust and boot-leather oxidation so the sock looks clean longer across heavy rotation. The 62% Merino Wool / 34% Stretch Nylon / 2% Polyester / 2% Spandex blend keeps the sock compact inside a hiking boot while preserving the stretch that prevents bunching through a long day on trail.
Wigwam has been knitting socks at its family-owned mill in Sheboygan, Wisconsin since 1905. Five generations of family, still knitting every pair in-house.
