The Wigwam Merino Woodland is a mid-calf outdoor sock knit primarily from merino wool. Merino is soft against the skin, naturally moisture-wicking, and temperature-regulating — it keeps the foot warm when it’s cold and breathable when it’s warm, which is why it’s the preferred fiber for hunting, hiking, and cold-weather work wear.
The 70% merino wool / 20% stretch nylon / 8% acrylic / 1% spandex / 1% stretch polyester blend is engineered for outdoor conditions: merino for temperature and odor control, nylon for boot-level durability, acrylic for loft and additional warmth, spandex and stretch polyester to hold the sock on the leg through a full day in boots. Mid-calf height sits above the top of most boots.
Wigwam is a fifth-generation family business that has knit every pair at their mill in Sheboygan, Wisconsin since 1905. Every sock, including this one, is still made in-house with domestic yarns.
