This is Mohawk Home’s 8 by 10 foot non-slip rug pad, a quarter-inch sandwich of recycled felt and natural latex rubber. Felt side up under an area rug on hard floors it protects the finish from scratches; flipped over, the latex grips carpet to keep runners and area rugs from traveling.
It works under living-room and dining-room rugs, hallway runners, and home-gym mats, deadening footstep noise, insulating cold floors, and easing fatigue underfoot. Scissors trim it to fit any rug shape, and the cushion extends the life of the rug above it.
Mohawk Home is the consumer division of Mohawk, an American flooring maker founded in 1878, and produces this pad at its U.S. facilities from recycled felt fiber.
