The Ontario Rat-7 is the full-size entry in Ontario’s Rat fixed-blade series — 7-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, full-tang construction, tan Micarta handle scales. Sized for hard survival work, bushcraft, batoning, and field cleaning where a small fixed-blade would come up short.
Full-tang 1095 carbon steel construction handles batoning through hardwood, prying open frozen joints, and chopping small branches without bending or breaking. The Micarta handle stays grippy with bloody hands or rain on the grip. Included sheath carries the knife at standard outdoor-belt height. Same Franklinville forge as Ontario’s military contract production.
Ontario Knife Company has been forging knives in Franklinville, New York since 1889. Every blade is built in the same Western New York facility that supplies the U.S. military with the M9 Bayonet and ASEK survival knife — the same forge, the same heat treatment, the same finishing line.
