The Q1200 is the grill people take camping and then end up using on the balcony all summer. A single 8,500 BTU burner heats a 189-square-inch cooking area, and the electronic ignition means no lighter, no fiddling, just push and turn.
The cooking grates are porcelain-enameled cast iron, which is what separates this from the thin wire grates on most portable gas grills. Cast iron holds heat, so food searing on it actually sears instead of steaming, and the porcelain coating means it will not rust.
It runs on standard 1-pound disposable propane cylinders, or on a 20-pound tank with an adapter hose. Removable catch pan underneath keeps cleanup simple. Weber’s Q series is built in the United States.
