This is the Green Toys Shape Sorter — a cube-shaped play bin with cutout holes in the top and sides, plus eight matching shapes that drop through the correct opening. It’s the original learning toy for matching shapes to holes, recognizing geometry, and developing fine motor control in toddler hands. A child figures out which shape goes in which hole through trial, error, and the small satisfaction of hearing it drop inside.
The lid lifts off to dump the shapes out and start over, and the shapes store inside the bin for easy cleanup. All eight shapes and the bin itself are sized for small hands without being so small that they become a choking hazard. Classic toddler learning toy made in recycled HDPE that holds up to years of open-close, drop-sort repetition.
Green Toys is made in California from 100% recycled milk jugs and other food-grade HDPE plastic. The company was founded in Mill Valley in 2007 on the idea that kids’ toys could be manufactured domestically from recycled American material — no BPA, no PVC, no phthalates, no external coatings. Every toy is dishwasher-safe and shipped in recycled, recyclable packaging printed with soy-based inks.
