The Klein Tools J213-9NE is a 9-inch Journeyman side-cutter lineman’s plier with a streamlined head, cross-hatched knurled jaws, and precision-machined cutting knives. The head and knives are induction hardened, and the joint is hot-riveted for a wobble-free action.
The high-leverage geometry places the rivet closer to the cutting edge, which Klein measures at 46% more cutting and gripping power than a standard plier. Precision-machined knives shear fine stranded wire, mule tape, and pull line without mashing the strands. Unique handle tempering absorbs the snap when cutting wire, so less shock travels into the hand.
Cross-hatched knurled jaws hold onto conductors and hardware when pulling, bending, or twisting, which is the daily work of lineman and electrical installation. Color-coded handles identify the tool at a glance in a crowded pouch.
