The Smokey Joe is the grill you take with you. At 14 inches across it holds enough charcoal for burgers or chicken for two or three people, and the whole thing weighs little enough to carry one-handed to the beach, the campsite or the tailgate.
The Tuck-N-Carry lid lock is the detail that makes it work: it clamps the lid to the bowl for transport and then flips around to hold the lid while you are cooking, so you are never looking for a place to set a hot lid down. Aluminum dampers on the bowl and lid give you the same airflow control as a full-size Weber kettle.
The bowl and lid are porcelain-enameled steel, which is why these last for years instead of rusting out after a season. Weber builds its charcoal grills at its plant in Illinois.
