The Vaughan 122-01 Little Pro Rip Hammer is a 10-ounce scaled-down framer’s pattern with a straight rip claw and a hickory handle, giving the same Vaughan head geometry on a lighter swing for trim work, brad-driving, and the lighter nailing tasks where a 16-ounce hammer is overkill. The forged steel head is heat-treated to the Vaughan factory hardness spec just like the full-size models.
Use it as a trim and finish hammer, a light demolition tool where the rip claw splits thin stock, an upholstery hammer for tack and brad work, a kid’s first real hammer, and a take-along for jobs where weight in the bag matters more than driving power. The hickory handle absorbs the strike shock that magnifies through a lighter head.
Vaughan & Bushnell has been forging hammers in Hebron, Illinois since 1869 and remains the largest American striking-tool manufacturer still operating in the United States. The 122-01 Little Pro carries Vaughan’s lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
