The Money is a perfect twin – symmetrical nose and tail, centred stance – on a C2 rocker and camber hybrid that Mervin tunes to be snappy rather than damp. Rocker between the feet keeps it from catching while you are still learning where the edge is; camber outside the feet gives back the pop you need to leave the ground.
The flex sits between 4 and 6 depending on length, which at 154cm lands in the middle – forgiving enough for progression, responsive enough that it does not hold you back a season later. The core is a fast-growing sustainable wood, and the graphics are eco-sublimated rather than printed with solvents.
Mervin Manufacturing builds Lib Tech and GNU boards in Sequim, Washington, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and is one of the last snowboard makers that never moved production offshore. The factory runs on a zero-hazardous-waste process the company has built its identity around.
