The Storm, built on a ViKORE hard rock maple performance shaft with an Everest leather tip. Hard rock maple is the traditional shaft wood because it is stiff enough to transmit the hit without the whip of a softer timber.
The tip is the part that wears and gets replaced; a layered leather tip like the Everest holds its shape through more shots before it mushrooms than a cheap single-layer tip does. Shaft and tip together are most of what a cue feels like.
