Wrightsock’s double-layer system uses a thin inner liner bonded to a slightly heavier outer sock. Instead of your foot rubbing the inside of one sock when you sweat, the two layers slide against each other, which is where blisters come from. The CoolMesh II adds mesh ventilation panels on top of the foot for hot-weather running and hiking.
People who get blisters every time they break in new shoes, train for marathons, or go on multi-day hikes swear by these. The quarter-cut height keeps debris out without showing above low-cut shoes.
Wrightsock is American-made and has been knitting double-layer socks specifically engineered against blisters for over 25 years.
