One-piece drop-forged American steel, 24-oz head with a straight rip claw — designed for prying apart boards, ripping siding, and pulling nails out of fresh lumber. Stacked-leather grip rings, polished face. The straight rip claw is the differentiator from the curved-claw E3-22C: better for prying, less ideal for pulling deeply set finish nails.
The dedicated framing hammer. Used by stick-frame carpenters, demolition crews, deck builders, and roofers who need to pry shingles. Heavier than the 22-oz curved-claw, with a different working geometry — most pros own one of each rather than choosing between them.
