This is a five-panel interlocking GrillGrate set, 12 inches deep by 25.5 inches wide, with the GrateTool included for lifting panels. The panels are reversible — rails up for searing, flipped over for a near-solid griddle surface.
The interlocking design means you cover the grate as a single surface rather than a row of loose plates that shift when you scrape them. Fat falls into the valleys and vaporizes back up as smoke, which is what stops chicken thighs and burgers from torching.
GrillGrate has manufactured its grates in Cartersville, Georgia since 2007, and the panels are hard-anodized so they will not rust.
