This is a different tool from a pizza wheel: a single curved 20-inch blade of high-carbon stainless steel with a handle at each end. You set it across the pie and rock, which cuts straight down through crust and toppings at once rather than pushing them sideways.
It is the fastest way through a large pie when several are going out at once — pizzerias use rockers precisely because a full cut takes seconds. At home it suits large sheet pizzas and party-sized pies where a wheel would need repeated passes.
