The Granberg G1010 EZ Rail Chainsaw Mill Guide System is the 10-foot version of the EZ Rail kit, sized for long logs where the 5-foot G1085 leaves unsupported overhang. The kit ships the 10-foot aluminum rail, crossbar assemblies, and clamping hardware so an Alaskan-mill operator can make the first cut on a 10-foot log without an improvised straight-edge.
The 10-foot rail keeps the chainsaw bar dead level across the full length of a log so the first slab comes off perfectly flat — every subsequent slab then rides on that flat reference surface for the rest of the log. The aluminum rail breaks down for transport and reassembles in the field, so a single operator can pack the system to a remote slabbing site.
Granberg has manufactured the EZ Rail system in Richmond, California since 1955 — the G1010 carries Made in USA designation per the manufacturer’s listing. Pair the 10-foot G1010 with the Granberg Alaskan MK-IV mill and a 36-inch chainsaw bar for full-length log slabbing, or step down to the G1085 5-foot rail when the timber runs shorter.
