The Granberg G555B Mini Mill is the edging companion to the Alaskan platform — a compact, vertical-cut chainsaw mill attachment that turns rough slabs into squared-edge boards. The 24-inch unit clamps to a chainsaw bar and rides along a 2×4 or straight-edge guide screwed to the slab, giving operators perfectly straight, parallel cuts for siding, planking, and finished lumber.
The Mini Mill works in tandem with the Alaskan MK-IV: rough-cut a slab from a log with the Alaskan, then mount the G555B and edge that slab into uniform boards. The kit ships with mounting clamps, the manual milling guide, and operating instructions. Compatible with chainsaw bars up to 24 inches and chainsaws in the 50-100cc range.
Granberg has manufactured the Mini Mill in Richmond, California since 1955 — the G555B carries Made in USA designation per the manufacturer’s listing. Pair the Mini Mill with the Granberg Alaskan MK-IV (G778 or G777 carriage) so a single operator can rough-mill and edge-finish boards from felled logs without leaving the timber site.
