The BetterVent Indoor Dryer Vent is a sealed lint-trap and exhaust adapter that lets an electric dryer vent indoors instead of through an exterior wall — recapturing the heat and humidity that would otherwise escape. In dry winter climates, the indoor vent acts as a passive humidifier that runs only when the dryer runs; in finished basements where outside venting isn’t practical, it’s the only option for venting at all.
The unit traps lint in a serviceable filter screen and uses a no-water dry filtration approach (no need to refill water bowls weekly like older indoor-vent designs). Compatible only with electric dryers — never with gas dryers, which produce combustion gases that must vent outside.
