The Leatherman Surge is the largest multi-tool in the Leatherman line, a 21-tool stainless steel multi-tool built around the biggest plier head the company makes. The oversized pliers grip larger fittings and stock than the Wave or Rebar can handle, and the dual blades, T-shank saw, scissors, and 1/4-inch bit driver round out a tool that genuinely replaces a small toolbox.
Use it as a serious work multi-tool for technicians, mechanics, contractors, military service, and any application where the smaller pocket-carry models simply don’t have the plier capacity for the job at hand. The T-shank saw accepts standard saw blades, and the dual replaceable cutters extend useful life over years of cutting work.
Leatherman has been making multi-tools in Portland, Oregon since 1983 — Tim Leatherman’s original 1975 prototype is the great-grandfather of every modern multi-tool. Every Leatherman carries the company’s 25-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
