This Birds Choice suet feeder is built for the largest woodpeckers, with an extra-long tail prop extending below the suet cage so a pileated woodpecker can brace its stiff tail feathers and feed in its natural vertical posture. Smaller clingers like downies and nuthatches use it comfortably too.
Hang it from a branch or pole near woods where big woodpeckers range, load one or two suet cakes, and offer it through fall and winter when high-energy fat matters most. The recycled-poly frame shrugs off weather and the cage opens to reload.
Birds Choice has manufactured wild bird feeders in Chilton, Wisconsin for years, building much of its line from recycled poly lumber that lasts season after season.
