This is a pair of 4-by-4-foot cedar beds at 10.5 inches deep, built from 3/4-inch North American cedar with dovetailed corner posts.
Two beds let you separate what you harvest continuously from what sits all season — salad, herbs and beans in one, squash, garlic or potatoes in the other. Keeping them apart means you can clear and replant one without disturbing a crop that is still weeks away. Set side by side they leave a working path between; set apart they suit awkward sloping ground.
Greenes Fence has been building cedar garden structures in Ohio since 1947, working with North American timber.
